Iranians Condemn the Attack by the Basij on the British embassy

We as Iranians and activists of the Green Movement, strongly condemn the attack by the Basijis on the British embassy (many others are condemning the attack via Twitter, Facebook, Google Plus and etc. )

We ask the media, such as Guardian, to stop calling the embassy attackers "students". They are just some paid Basijis, as we can see in this picture.Or do they look like students?

A Letter in a Bottle

[utopia] - It's a horrible day.

It's the seventh month of the war while I am writing this letter. It is my last possibility to try to get some contact with the outside world.

Lots of regime opponents were killed in these months by security Forces. I got the informations from my friends two weeks ago. I don't know how they got those informations, but they were spreading first hand news till they were arrested two weeks ago.

Internet telephone are  down since months, satellite TVs are not more broadcasting any more or we cannot receive any signals. It is making me worried! People spread rumors. I cannot distinguish which one is true and which one right. Some say the world has gone crazy, war is broken out every were. Some say it is regime propaganda. Which version is right?

Courage - Statement over arrest of Iranian singer Arya Aramnejad

poster by green friend

In a small town in Iran, six former political prisoners wrote an statement to defend one political prisoner.

In these days, fear is ruling over Iran. People are not only afraid of war. In today's Iran, people cannot even celebrate a birthday party without being afraid of security agents - I am not talking about the underground parties - at a traditional Coffeehouse.

Don't give up the diplomatic way; #No2IranWar

Once, we learned walking.
We felt and tried walking again. And again and again.
We failed and failed. But we tried it till we could walk.
Could we walk if we would give up after failing many times?

Please Don't Kill Our Last Enlightenment Tool, The Goole Reader

Google Reader,
For Many:
the Last Door to Freedom

Google will be retiring many Google Reader's features like friending, following and shared link blogs. It is nothing unusual for companies to change their products. Probably these changes don't bother most Google users worldwide . But these changes will probably cause big problems in Iranian struggle for freedom and enlightenment. Why is Reader so important to us?

Iran's newest problem: Palastine's U.N. Membership!

Islamic Republic has a new big problem: It has to decide if to support Palestinians U.N.  membership request or not. Would Iran supports the membership, so would Iran recognize Israel. Wouldn't Iran support Abbas, so would be Iran on Israel and US' side!

Iran, Unite! ... but how?!

This note is written for Iranians outside Iran.

I think the problem of unity occurs mostly outside Iran, as Ahmad Betebi said to persiantoenglish.

We know that Iranians fighting for democracy have very different political views. In the same time, we know that unity is important in a struggle for freedom: we know very the meaning of "united we stand, divided we fall". But how?  How can we get united? I try to write some suggestions:

Libyans are on the right way to democracy (?)

At least this report made me hopeful, that Libyan rebels are on the right way to democracy, that they are not installing one dictatorship instead of Gaddafi's:

Rebel spokesman Mahmoud Shammam promises that Gaddafi will not be harmed and that the rebels want to see him stand trial in Libya. He tells Sky News:

Introduction - This is Ali-Akbar Mohammadzadeh, the 22 years old head of the Islamic Association of Sanati-Sharif University. Actually, Islamic Associations are normal student organizations and have nothing to do with Islam anymore. The organizations were called Islamic after the Islamic Revolution. Since the members were elected and generations changed by time, the members and ideas changed, but the name didn't.

Islamic Republic Is Breaking It's Own Laws

Which is better?
Bad laws or no laws?

Reformers such as Mousavi, Karroubi or ex-president Khatami said several times, the Constitution of the Islamic Republic has the potential for solving many current problems facing the country. They urged the government to adhere to the laws, e.g. after the fraud presidential elections of 2009 or later, when Ahmadinejad's government was beating up the peaceful Tehran protesters.

Cash Subsisies Will Be Revised

"I see no inflation", by Nikahang Kowsar

As it was predicted by the experts, the subsidy reform planned by Ahmadinejad's government will be revised, Deutsche Welle says. Ahmadinejad had called those reforms "the country's biggest ever economic plan", although he was warned by the Iranian economists that the country will face huge problems, if Ahmadinejad would fulfill his plans.

Commando attacks to collect satellite dishes

After sending my last note on the new wave of satellite raid, I thought it would be useful/interesting or whatever to send also these two videos (on the second one you can see how they disturb a dish):

New Wave of Satellite Raid Short Before 12 June

(picture from another satellite raid in Iran)

Short before the anniversary of the rigged Iran election on 12 June 2009, Iranian security forces has started collecting and disturbing satellite dishes. The following videos have been recorded on 6 June 2011 in the city of Tabriz. Eyewitnesses report that about 90 regime agents had attacked the housing estate Golparg an collected the satellites. Few days ago, similar satellite raids were reported from Tehran and other estates of Tabriz.

Haleh Sahabi was holding a flower and a photograph of her father in her hands when she was attacked by a policeman who tooked the photograph away from her an tore it. She asked, why they tore the picture of his father and added: "What have we done to you that you deal so with us?" A letter from a group of Iran's Green Movement's activists on Twitter to the brave people of Syria

Our Dear Syrian brothers and sisters,

The path to free a nation from dictatorship has always been a costly, yet an immortal and laudable communal experience. It is now two months that YOU, Syrian people, have been walking on this path and thus marking this era with your ongoing revolution. In fact, each and every single one of you, as well as your revolutionary movement as a whole, is writing history in a glorious way;

Terry Jones is the Provoker, not the Killer!

Some fundamentalist Muslims killed UN staff because a fundamentalist Christian burned a copy of the Qur'an (+). On one hand Terry Jones "doesn't feel any responsibility for that". He probably feels to be the winner of the story because he could say "It definitely does indicate that there is a very radical element of Islam" (+). On the other hand Terry Jones is not the killer!

Opponents but Analogicals of Islamic Republic

"Monlogue" by Mana Neyestani (source: Radio Zamaneh)

One characteristic of the Islamic Republic was always, or at least since I can remember, to refer dissident Iranians as American or Israeli spies. Without proof, only for short time political interests, only to put dissidents in jail. Only to shut their mouthes.

Unfortunately, some regime opponents outside Iran (1) refer to another regime opponents as Islamic Republic's Intelligence organization, without having any good reason for such claims. More precisely:

my economy teacher and the removed economy lesson

Our economy teacher in high school was obviously an opponent of the Islamic Republic. He often made jokes about the regime in Iran. Once, he told us that the economy lesson will be removed from the school program. We asked him if he would be unemployed and what he would do later. He laughed and said "no, I will work as a religion teacher. I just talk about god and other things I don't believe in".

That teacher is an example for many in Iran, not just for teachers. Some days ago I read that 3 Evin prison guards have been jailed for cooperating with political prisoners, Mohammad Nourizad and Mostafa Tajzadeh. I was not surprised.

The Tragedy of Islamic Republic's Fall

Many people have been arrested on February 14 (25 Bahman), at least 1500. I believe, that the large number of arrests are weakening the regime: Many of the friends and family members of the new Political Prisoners haven't participate on the February 14. demonstrations, for many good or

Open Letter on Wael Ghonim: "Please write a Statement in Support of the Green Movement"

Dear Wael Ghonim,

Many Iranians, specially activist of the Green Movement, wish that you write an statement in support of the Green Movement. Today, many of Iranians want to participate on a demonstration in support of democratic movements in north Africa, e.g. Egypt. This could also cause a rebirth of the Green Movement. Iranian government refused permission to hold a rally on February 14.

By writing a statement, you not only could make the Iranian people happy, you would also make it harder for the Iranian regime to suppress the demonstrations. The worldwide press is watching Egypt. Your words mean a lot to us.

best wishes,

Today we free Tunisia, Tomorrow we Take on Iran ( #Ir4Tun )

The world is watching Tunisia ... Iran is watching Tunisia, too. For us, not knowing the backgrounds of Tunisian policy and history, the protests came very suddenly. Maybe, we, the Iranians, are a little bit jealous at the moment. Don't understand me wrong. With jealous I mean what the Iranian Journalist Golnaz Esfandiary tweeted "Young Iranian man on Sidibouzid, Tunisia did it, we couldn't". For sure we wish Tunisians freedom and democracy. And we can help them, now.
